Strong Customer Authentication (SCA) is a regulatory requirement of the European Union aimed at reducing fraud and improving the security of Internet payments. To accept payments and comply with the requirements of this regulation, an additional secret code is required to strengthen the security of certain transactions. The PSD2 regulation requires that at least two of the following three elements be used in the authentication of certain transactions:
- Something that only you KNOW (password, PIN, secret questions, signature...).
- Something you HAVE (mobile, coordinates card...).
- Something that as a user you ARE (fingerprint, facial recognition...).
Please note that not all of the above elements are used by Bnext and are listed only as an example.
